By 1996 Sumithrayo were able to build their own Training Centre to train their own volunteers and also to train volunteers for other service organizations. Today, Sumithrayo handle requests from various organizations and units for a variety of needs while specializing in training community workers. Training enables participants to bond with the distressed while helping such persons to get back on their own feet as soon as possible. Workshops are designed to suit individual organizational needs such as violence against women; poverty alleviation; child abuse etc. The skill of listening and befriending is the common core component in most of these training workshops. Sumithrayo are willing to share their skills with all those who work with people, in order to raise the level of inter-personal relationships. Community workers are sensitized to the need for growth in their own levels of personal well being.

While Sumithrayo are not an income generating business organization, we welcome donations for facilitation of a training programme. These programmes are inter-active and participatory with regular follow-up programmes to evaluate change in the attitudes and values of the participants.

The Training Centre facilities are available for hire for the use of other organizations if and when it is not in use by Sumithrayo. Tel:25339794
